The only rule at Write Club:
Don’t talk at Write Club.
March Write Club
Tuesday 11th March
6:30pm - 8pm
Otto Champagneria and Beer Hall
125 Featherston Street, Wellington
So. What’s the situation?
If you write, Write Club is for you.
Enjoy 90 minutes of shared, sustained silence where we can all concentrate on the thing we love but find countless reasons not to actually do: write.
We’re talking any sort of writing and any level of expertise here. Books, blogs, scripts, short stories, poems … heck, if you just need some time out, come along, pull up a pew, and shhh along with the rest of us.
Which brings us to the rules bit. The only rule: there’s no talking. We’re not here to socialise; we’re here to write (although please stick around afterwards to make friends if you’d like to).
Just come on in, find a space, pull out your laptop or pen, and start writing. There’ll be no welcomes, no intros, no sharing, no feedback, just dedicated time and space to put pen/finger to page/keyboard and turn some of those glorious words in your head into actual sentences.
Write Club is held on the second Tuesday evening of every month in somewhere in Pōneke/Wellington or Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai/Lower Hutt, at a bar, cafe or general eatery. Each event costs $15 to attend which includes a drink when you arrive, with the rest helping us to cover the costs of things like this here website.
